Presentation Schedule

Each presentation will consist of the following:

15 minute presentation of the thesis and argument by the student
5 minute counter-argument by me
10 minute questions by the class.

Visuals for the 15 minute presentation are strongly suggested. You will present in the following order (based on the order the papers were in when I got them). If you are up first, please be 5 minutes early to class, so that you can prepare.

Tuesday, April 22nd:

Thursday, April 24th:

Remember that our Tuesday class will start promptly at 7:45, and will last until 9:45. Please be on time! If we can get through all of these presentations, we do not have to meet during Finals Week, which I think we would all prefer.

I’ll see you Tuesday, or on Friday night for those who are coming to the Getty (and have RSVP’d)

Class Meetings This Week

We will not be meeting during our regular lecture time this week. Enjoy the extra sleep.

Instead, there are several of you that need to meet with me to review your outlines. The outline is not an optional part of the process: I need to sign off on a fully developed, footnoted outline of your entire thesis argument before you begin writing the paper.

If I did not sign off on your outline during our meeting last week, you need to email me to schedule another meeting to review your project. Our regular class time is available, either tomorrow or Thursday, as is most of the day on Wednesday. Please email me as soon as possible to setup a meeting.

I’ll see you all back together again next week.
